The space industry of Kazakhstan relies on LNG

“Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” Space Center is the second facility of national importance completely gasified using the liquefied natural gas technology.

On November 15, the first cubic meter of natural gas was sent from Turan station gas pipeline for heating of “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” National Company. Now, ultramodern technologies and materials daily used by specialists within the Space Center activities are complemented by natural liquefied gas technology that is becoming more popular in northern Kazakhstan regions.

The National Space Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a large complex, developed on an area of 30 hectares and consisting of administrative buildings, scientific and educational units and other infrastructure facilities. To ensure heating of the complex in accordance with the design documentation, diesel fuel was used initially, but taking into account acute environmental condition of the capital and the enterprise’s innovative potential, the leadership of "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" NC resolved to modernize the heating system.

The Space Center and “Global Gas Group” engineers undertook measures for conversion of three existing boilers to natural gas to be used as a primary fuel, fully replacing diesel fuel.
