Gasification of Akmola region - is not a myth, but a reality!

For the first time in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the group of “Global Gas Group” companies implemented a comprehensive innovative technological solution based on the work of only the environment and atmosphere, in the format of local LNG fuel regasification station with storage.

On the eve of the Constitution day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “Global Gas Group” put into operation a complex of “RixosBorovoe” liquefied natural gas regasification, carrying out the primary launch of natural gas.

The new regasification complex with a capacity of 9 Gcal/h was built in Akmola oblast on the territory of the protected environmental zone in just a few months and fully provides the “RixosBorovoe” hotel complex with environmentally friendly fuel. This project is made strictly in accordance with individual requirements of the consumer and the regulatory-licensing system of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The process flow based on which the virtual pipeline is currently operating was presented at EXPO Astana International Exhibition in 2017; and the project of pipeless gasification was later approved by Nursultan Nazarbayev and supported by the Akimat of Akmola oblast

The project of diesel boiler gasification does not provide for large-scale capital investments and time costs, and due to the favorable difference in the cost of natural gas relative to diesel prices, significantly reduces the energy costs.

The “RixosBorovoe” regasification complex is equipped with modern automated control systems, regulation and management and high-tech security system. LNG fuel from the gas liquefaction plant to the consumption facility is delivered by transportation in cryogenic vessels. After delivery to the consumer, liquefied natural gas is used as an energy carrier for the same purposes as conventional natural gas.

“The joint project of “Global Gas Group” and “RixosBorovoe” hotel became the first among a whole complex of measures aimed at improving the environment of protected environmental zone in Akmola oblast. In the near future, we plan to scale the acquired successful experience for implementation of subsequent projects of local gasification facilities. Moreover, we have prepared for implementation of the next stage of solving the existing environmental problems of the region – a gradual conversion of regional urban and special transport enterprises to LNG fuel”,- said the Director of “Global Gas Regazification”, Panayot Saulidi.

We will remind that in February of 2017, “Global Gas Group”, in the framework of “Astana LNG 2020” project, commissioned the first liquefied natural gas regasification complex “Turan” in Astana, consumers of which were the “Nazarbayev University” JSC, “GaryshSapary” NC JSC and the Defense University. Conversion of boiler houses of only these three facilities from diesel fuel to natural gas made it possible to reduce emission of harmful substances in Astana by 23 tons in the heating period of 2017-2018 and significantly save the budget money in the amount of 700 million tenge.
