Natural Gas in Astana – new target

The historical event has appeared on October 26th – the first million of Natural Gas cubic meters has been transported to the most hugest fuels consumer, Nazarbayev University.

Since the heating season the matter related to gasification of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been appeared on an annual basis, most of citizens complain on the bad quality of the fresh air in the atmosphere, more often the matter regarding the que and price increase for the coal and diesel fuel used for the heating of the industrial facilities and private sector has been arisen. However, not so many people know that there is methane natural gas in Astana!

In February, 2017 the first natural gas regasification complex “Turan” has been launched in the country, and the Nazarbayev University has become the first consumer of the natural gas – which is famous as the most modern and biggest university in Kazakhstan. It chooses the most ecological and effective fuel – the natural gas. Even today, the million of methane cubic meters has been transported for the purpose of heating and hot water supply.

The innovative method of gasification in Astana has become more accessible for consumers due to LNG technologies (LNG) and group of companies of Global Gas Group, which carries out in partnership with PAO GazProm the ambitious and perspective project “Astana LNG 2020” on gasification the capital and North parts of Kazakhstan.

As you are aware that the engineering design of the second LNG Telman regasification station is planning in the first fortnight of October, 2017. The station will be located on the south part of Astana, which is not far away from the airport named after Nursultan Nazarbayev. Commissioning and launching of the new LNG station is supposed to be at the end of 2018. It’s planning in the future to transfer to the gas such sport centres as Barys Arena, Alau and Velotrek, Airport , as well as the other big state and private consumers of heat and gas located near the regasification complexes.

The use of Turan and Telman complexes at full performance will provide the minimization of the budget costs – up to 5 billion tenge per year.
