Eco-friendly fuel for motor vehicles has appeared in Astana
The first gas station (CNG filling station) was constructed in the capital of Kazakhstan, which refueling vehicles with eco-friendly fuel (compressed natural gas methane). New gas engine fuel has already been successfully used for shuttles carrying visitors to the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2017 and is available for Astana city transport.
Within the framework of international cooperation, Global Gas Group provides low-floor buses given by the Uzbek-German joint-venture company “JV MAN Auto-Uzbekistan” for shuttle-bus servicing arrangement with eco-friendly natural gas vehicle fuel (methane). Bus routes run between the large hotels of Astana, the Airport and "Astana EXPO-2017" exhibition complex. Already today residents and guests of the capital can comfortably and safely reach the international exhibition location.
The transport running on natural gas vehicle fuel (natural gas methane) is successfully operated in the southern regions of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and has positively approved itself as eco-friendly, long-life and energy-efficient one, that certainly meets the general theme of EXPO 2017 - Future Energy.
Installation of the first CNG filling station in the city allows providing of up to 70 city buses per day with high-quality natural gas vehicle fuel. The use of natural gas for this type of transport gives up to 50% savings (in comparison with diesel fuel) and meets the requirements of environmental standards to the level of Euro 5 inclusive, which fits into the energy efficiency trend of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The gas station converting in technological process the liquefied natural gas into compressed gas, can simultaneously fill 2 buses, the time of one filling operation is 20 minutes.
As we said earlier, the development of the direction of natural gas vehicle fuel became the second stage of the gasification of the capital: in the course of Astana Economic Forum in June 2017, Asset Issekeshev noted that in the near future the decision on gasification, within the framework of a comprehensive plan of energy-saving will be adopted. It is to be recalled that the natural gas has appeared in the capital on February 2017 – the first regasification station was solemnly launched with the participation of Mayor (Akim) of Astana city.
