Procurement of new mainline equipment is intended primarily to meet the growing demand for transportation of special cargoes of the group of “GlobalGasGroup” companies, namely, liquefied natural gas supplied from Russia to Northern Kazakhstan. Selection of economical Volvo prime mover models will allow reducing logistics costs and, at the same time, will ensure comfort and safety of drivers and cargo.
“Implementing plans for gasification of the North of the Republic, we are actively working to reduce operating costs, to make methane available to every business. This initiative required us to carefully estimate the optimal route to achieve maximum economic efficiency. That is why this year we decided to launch a joint project with SVTC in Petropavlovsk. In addition, SVTC company is one of the few Kazakhstani road transport companies that has a valid international ADR permit required for cross-border LNG transportation,” said Panayot Saulidi, Director of “GlobalGasRegazification”.
The route on which transportation will be carried out passes from Yekaterinburg (Russia) to the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan city and then, through Petropavlovsk to Shuchinsk, where consumers of “GlobalGasGroup” liquefied natural gas are also located. In 2020, it is planned to carry out 1075 rounds, covering 2,177,245 km, then in 2021, number of rounds may exceed 4,000 per year, and the geography of supplies will be expanded by connecting new LNG consumers from Pavlodar region.
“For me, as for the head of the motor transport enterprise, the main achievement at the moment is staffing of qualified drivers. I am sure that our company offers competitive conditions for employees, decent wages and constant workload. Moreover, I want to thank the local Northern Kazakhstan region authority represented by the region and city Governor's office (Akimat) for facilitating settlement of personnel affairs at organization of business processes in Petropavlovsk. I would like to note how quickly we reached an understanding on fundamental issues, enlisting the support of the Governor’s office (Akimat) for joint strategic development of the region as a transport hub” commented Deputy Director of SVTC, Oleg Seksenbaev.
