the 5-th annual congress of the “LNG Congress Russia”

General Director of «Global Gas Group» company, Goncharov Oleg Yuryevich participated in the 5-th annual congress of the “LNG Congress Russia” which took place on 6-8 of June 2018 in Baltschug Kempinski, Moscow.

«Global Gas Group» is the Kazakhstani group of companies focused on LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and being the sole provider of liquefied natural gas (methane) in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

LNG Congress Russia is the international expert platform for dialogue and seeking solutions to promote one of the most strategically important gas industry fields - production and market development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) – which annually unites the world’s leaders of the LNG industry. The Congress unites more than 300 key international companies participating in the construction of LNG production plants.

   The participating companies include: Gazprom, Yamal LNG, NOVATEK, Shell, ExxonMobil, Gazprom Proektirovanie, Technip, KBR, Gazprom VNIIGAZ, Gazprom LNG Saint Petersburg, Gazprom Gazenergoset, Gazprom Export, Rosneft, Pechora LNG, Sakhalin Energy and others.

Participants of the congress discussed the production and market formation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as well as Russia’s large-scale LNG projects. During the congress, the panel session for operators and technology suppliers was conducted where experts considered different factors impacting on the development of large-, medium- and small-tonnage LNG.

LNG industry has just been developing in Russia and the sole large-tonnage plant in action is “Sakhalin-2”. However, the construction of other plants is planned as well. “Yamal LNG” is already being constructed. Negotiations and implementation of the following projects are actively conducted: “Pechora LNG”, “Arctic LNG-2”, “Baltic LNG”, “Far East LNG”. Moreover, small-tonnage LNG market used for the gasification of remote regions is actively developed. Also, projects focused on using LNG as natural gas motor fuel are actively developed. All of the abovementioned determines the need for such platform to share experience and present the best technology on the market.
